An ADAS calibration price only means something when it names the system and the work included. Learn what the line covers and how to compare quotes fairly.
An ADAS calibration price is useful only when it names the system and the work included. A camera aiming fee, a radar replacement bill and a complete collision-repair invoice describe different scopes. Compare the operations before comparing the totals.
Ask whether the calibration line covers one identified system or several, and which prerequisites are priced elsewhere.
A bundled fee can be legitimate, but its inclusions should still be clear. Confirm whether failed calibration caused by unresolved damage leads to separately authorized diagnosis or another charge. No nationwide headline price can establish your vehicle’s complete local bill.
A Honda and a Toyota can use different systems, but the badge alone does not determine the cost. Model year, equipment and the repair performed are more useful comparison points.
Honda’s August 2025 aiming job aid, for example, requires consulting the model-specific service information. That document does not set Toyota requirements. Ask each provider to identify the current procedure for your vehicle rather than ranking entire brands by one quoted fee.
The calibration procedure is only one stage of the appointment. The car must first be correctly assembled, relevant faults addressed and required prerequisites satisfied.

A stationary procedure may depend on suitable floor space and target placement. A driving procedure may depend on road and weather conditions specified by the manufacturer. An unsuccessful result can lead back to bracket, mounting or fault diagnosis.
Ask for two time estimates: when the vehicle is expected to be ready for calibration, and when the complete documented job should be finished. Parts delays or unfinished body work should not be confused with the time spent performing calibration itself.
Use the calibration line to ask five concrete questions:
I-CAR distinguishes calibration from actions such as clearing diagnostic codes. A scan printout alone therefore does not explain every calibration charge.
For a broader explanation of the technology, see our guide to ADAS calibration after collision repair. For quote comparison, keep the discussion focused on your system, its repair trigger and the included work.

Request a free estimate from Pro Collision Center. The required operations must be confirmed for the actual vehicle before a complete price can be established.
Compare the same necessary work, including prerequisites. Our recommendation is to ask for clarification whenever “calibration” appears as a single unexplained charge.
Keep the estimate and completion records with the collision-repair invoice. They help explain both the price and what was actually performed.
